There are two types of aramid honeycombs, namely para aramid honeycomb and meta aramid honeycomb. Para-aramid honeycomb, also known as BHC-KH para-aramid honeycomb, is fabricated from high-performance para-aramid paper impregnated with thermosetting phenolic resin. It is lighter than the intermediate aramid honeycomb of the same specification, possesses higher strength and modulus, and exhibits better thermal and humid stability, smoke toxicity, and resistance to high and low temperatures. Meta-aramid cellular, also known as BHC-NH meta-aramid cellular, in comparison with para-aramid cellular, has its own distinctive features and advantages.

The specific application of aramid honeycomb in diverse industrial domains encompasses: aerospace, including aircraft wings, fairings, engine covers, cabin doors, various interiors, and spaceborne antennas; interior components such as roofs, window frames, luggage racks, partitions, floors, and cabinets for rail transit, like high-speed trains; ships and yachts, such as hull structure and cabin interior structure; sports equipment, such as skis, water skis, rackets, and other main structures.
